Trimax is excited to welcome Luke Blommerde to the team as our newest Regional Sales Manager for the North Island. With a strong background in horticulture and years of hands-on experience running his own mowing and mulching business, he brings genuine insight into the challenges customers face every day.
Before joining Trimax, Luke worked in the kiwifruit industry as a Client Manager before starting his own contracting business, working across orchards, lifestyle blocks, and commercial properties. That experience taught him a lot about what it takes to achieve great results in the field and how important it is to have equipment you can rely on.
“I know the environments our machines will be working in, because I’ve been there myself,” he says. “That means when customers ask for advice, I can confidently recommend solutions that will do the job.”
For Luke, joining Trimax was about more than a new role – it was the chance to work with a brand he’s respected for years. “I’d always heard good things about the products,” he explains. “It’s great to be part of a team where I can help people find the right solutions and know the gear will deliver.”
Whether he’s working with an orchardist, a golf course manager, or a council, Luke takes the time to understand what each customer wants to achieve before recommending the right mower or mulcher. “It’s about listening first and making sure the solution actually fits,” he says.
Outside of work, Luke is a family man with two young daughters, spending most of his spare time on the golf course or out hunting in the bush. A fun fact many won’t know. He once spent five years living in Holland.
With his practical experience and down-to-earth approach, Luke is looking forward to helping Trimax customers get the best possible results and supporting them with advice they can trust.
