Help Us Find the World’s Oldest Working Trimax Pegasus

25 Years of Pegasus & Still Going Strong.

This year marks 25 years of the Trimax Pegasus, and we’re searching the globe to find the oldest working machine still out in the field. Across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe, we want the story of the machine and the person who has kept it running.

Before the turn of the millennium, Trimax founder Bob Sievwright saw a growing need for a mower that could cover more ground efficiently, without compromising the quality of cut Trimax customers expected. Using the successful ProCut mower deck as a foundation, the team set out to build a large-format trailed mower that could fold for transport and stand up to the demands of municipal and wide area mowing. In 1999, after a month of hard work and Kiwi ingenuity, the first prototype was born.

Following extensive development and customer feedback, Pegasus launched in the United Kingdom in 2001, quickly transforming expectations of large area mowing. It later arrived in the USA as the first rotary roller mower released there, helping establish Trimax as a leading name in municipal and wide area turf maintenance in every market it entered. 25 years later, Pegasus is still doing the job around the world, and we want to find out just how far back some of those machines go.

Every Trimax Pegasus has a story. We’re looking for the machines, and the people behind them, that have kept mowing for decades.

Has your Pegasus been delivering reliable performance for 5 years, 10, 15, or even more? We want to hear about it.

How to Enter.

To enter, submit your story here. Tell us how long you’ve had your Pegasus, where it works, and how it’s treated you, then add a photo or video and your mower’s serial number so our team can verify its age.

Entries close 30 September 2026. The owner of the oldest verified working Pegasus in each market will win an exclusive 25th Anniversary Trimax prize pack. A handful of stories from every market will also be featured throughout the campaign, and exclusive merchandise will be sent out randomly to submitters.

So go on, tell us your Trimax Pegasus Story.
